Options for Disposal of Empty Drums: Did you know that some options include offering empty drums to a qualified reconditioner or to a reclaimer for recycling (note: neutralization of empty PMDI drums is suggested prior to transfer to the recycler). Empty the drums in accordance with the drum reconditioner’s or recycler’s instructions, as well as in accordance with state and federal regulations (e.g., less than 1” of liquid product in a drum is considered empty by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Setting up a Spill Clean-Up Plan: Did you know that setting up a spill clean-up plan may help you quickly clean up product if a spill or leak occurs. Protecting people first, then minimizing environmental releases and protecting property, will help prevent people from being exposed to potentially harmful levels of MDI/PMDI.
